This website was set up with the aim of providing a brief history of Nottingham Castle from Norman castle to ducal mansion, together with information about the current museum and art gallery and some of the events held there.
Even though the site included the following sentence "This website is the work of an individual and is not connected to the Nottingham Castle Museum or Nottingham City Council. Please visit the Nottingham City Council website here for up to the minute information from official sources or if you wish to contact them directly." the majority of e-mail received through the contact address here was from people who believed they were contacting Nottingham Castle itself.

Whilst I have been happy to answer any queries I could help with and to provide the correct contact information for Nottingham Castle I felt that it was frustrating for the visitors, companies and individuals who believed they were contacting Nottingham Castle itself. As e-mail traffic had also risen in frequency over the last few months so that a week would not pass without several misdirected communications I felt it was time to end the confusion that using this website address has caused.
As I feel it would be a shame to lose all of the content that had been developed here some of these sections will be relocated to a subsection of www.robinhood.org.uk in the near future.
